Job Description
EBA&D seeks an accomplished professional for the position of Business Development Manager, for our Missiles Market Segment reporting to the V.P of Business Development. The position will be located in Simsbury, CT or Moorpark, CA.
Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager acts as the primary account manager for the customer. This position is in our rapidly growing Aerospace Systems market segment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Principal duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for meeting the booking goals for the Missiles Systems market segment.
  • Identifies, explores and captures new business and programs while establishing and maintaining new and existing customer relationships.
  • Provides input to the company’s strategic planning process and recommends new business pursuits and/or possible expansion.
  • Maintains a five-year revenue forecast for the Missiles Systems market segment.
  • Must have the ability to efficiently utilize existing organizational resources to build an effective team and work within a team environment to achieve company and department goals.
  • Promotes and increases sales through customer technical support, opportunity management, and direct component and subsystem level sales.
  • Direct customer interaction and presentations requiring domestic travel up to 35% of the time.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills in order to function as the leader or as a member of proposal team, ensuring adequate and acceptable proposals.
  • Participate in trade shows.
Requirements:
  • The successful candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience in a business development role in the strategic or tactical missile market.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to develop new business through market information gathering and assessment, customer interaction, guiding internal technology development, and leading winning proposal efforts. Candidates must meet all requirements under BATFE and ITAR and must be able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $120,000-$200,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
